1st Dental offer a comprehensive service for NHS and Private Practice. Providing full and partial denture prosthetics in many materials including:

  • High impact acrylics
  • Ivoclar BPS system
  • Gerber
  • Various colour tone systems
  • Flexible Partial Dentures from Valplast

NHS Prescriptions: Typical Service Provision

  • Delphic, Cosmo (or similar) acrylic teeth set up with flat occlusions.
  • Standard plain pink acrylic base material.
  • Articulated on simple hinge or plaster free artic (Galetti).
  • Light Cure Special trays.

Independent Prescriptions: Typical Service Provision

  • Teeth Natura (Schottlander) or Basics (Heraeus Kulzer) Vita Shades A-D (or similar)
  • Semi anatomical posterior teeth with anterior/canine guidance.
  • Choice of plain pink or veined acrylic (Hi Impact Acrylic optional but charged)
  • Enigma (Schottlander) or Probase (Ivoclar) Acrylics
  • Semi Adjustable Articulator used at average values (incisal table 15 degrees, Bennetts 10-15 degrees and protrusion at 30 degrees)

Private Prescriptions: Typical Service Provision

  • All Teeth used:- Ivoclar Vivodent PE, SR Phonares, Creapearl, Candulor and Enigma.
  • Conventional dentures:- Balanced occlusion according to average values.
    • Gum Contouring.
    • Hi Impact acrylic.
    • Semi adjustable and adjustable artic.
  • BPS Dentures:- Balanced occlusion according to average values and personal value recorded. Ivoclar teeth required.
    • Gum Contouring. (Face bow required with Personalised Values)
    • Base material, Ivocap system (Probase hi impact acrylic) Injection moulded. (Ivoclar). Articulators used Stratos 100,200 and 300.
  • Gerber Dentures:- Lingualised occlusion according to Gerber principles. (A good system for flat lower ridges)
    • Patient or Clinicians preference for anterior tooth used as previously mentioned makes. Posteriors must be Candulor NFC II Condyloform for ideal set up and balanced occlusion according to Gerber. Gum Contouring. Face bow required.
    • Articulators used:- Condylator Simplex, individual and vario.
    • Base Material:- Candulor Hi impact (shades 1,2,3,4 and 34)
  • Colour tones for Gums are available for all private dentures but with an extra charge applied.
  • Soft linings should be available for all services.
